RELIA Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
RELIA helps users record, review, and remember conversations they choose to capture, so they can maintain better follow-up and continuity.
RELIA is user-controlled. Recording starts only when the user chooses to start it, and the user reviews conversation content before deciding whether to save it.
RELIA is not designed for hidden recording or surveillance. Users are responsible for complying with applicable laws and obtaining consent where required before recording conversations.
2. Who we are and how to contact us
RELIA is currently operated by the project owner/founder. Formal entity details may be updated before or after public launch.
Country/region: Spain / European Union
Support: support@myrelia.app
Privacy: privacy@myrelia.app
General: contact@myrelia.app
3. What RELIA does
The current RELIA MVP supports:
- manual recording started by the user
- review before saving
- local transcription when available
- saved conversation records
- manual follow-up notes
- manual person or contact labels
- settings and privacy controls
- export and reset of local data from Data Control
RELIA does not currently provide active AI suggestions, speaker separation, self-voice recognition, paywall or subscription features, an advanced relational graph, or B2B monitoring.
4. Recording and consent
Recording starts only when the user chooses to record. RELIA does not intentionally record in the background without user action.
Users are responsible for recording lawfully. Users should inform other people or obtain consent when required by applicable law or context.
Local transcription may be unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate depending on device support, language settings, speech clarity, background noise, and other conditions. Users review content before saving.
5. Data RELIA may process
Data processed by RELIA depends on how the user uses the app. RELIA may process:
- audio recordings created by the user
- transcript text if generated
- saved conversation summaries or review content
- manual follow-up notes
- manual person or contact labels
- settings and preferences
- app language and transcription language
- backend URL configuration if used
- exported local JSON file if the user chooses to export data
6. Local storage
The current MVP is local-first.
Saved conversations are stored on the device. Reset local data clears local app data as described in the app. Uninstalling the app may remove local app data depending on Android behavior.
Users should export data before deleting, resetting, or uninstalling the app if they want to keep a copy.
7. Backend and sync behavior
The current MVP primarily stores data on the device. Some development or optional sync features may require a configured backend URL. If such a backend is configured and used, some app data may be sent to that configured backend. Backend use must match the app configuration in use.
8. Data export and deletion
Users can export local data from Data Control. Export creates a local file selected or controlled by the user. Exported files may contain personal or sensitive information, and users are responsible for storing or sharing those files safely.
Reset local data deletes data stored locally on the device as described in the app.
Resetting local data removes data stored by RELIA on this device. It does not necessarily delete data from any configured backend unless a backend deletion process exists and has been completed.
9. AI features
AI suggested follow-up is not active in the current MVP unless later implemented and disclosed.
If AI suggested follow-up is implemented in the future, it may require backend or third-party processing. Privacy Policy and Data Safety information must be updated as required before public release of that behavior. User review and control should remain central.
10. Voice and speaker features
The current MVP does not automatically identify other people by voice.
Speaker separation and self-voice recognition are not active unless later implemented and disclosed.
RELIA does not use current MVP voice features for emotion detection, diagnosis, personality profiling, scoring, or workplace monitoring.
11. What RELIA does not do
RELIA does not:
- intentionally record without user action
- automatically identify third parties by voice in the current MVP
- detect emotions
- diagnose relationships
- provide medical, legal, psychological, or emergency advice
- act as a workplace monitoring product
- provide child or minor safety monitoring features
- guarantee perfect transcription or perfect follow-up
12. Service providers
If future backend, hosting, analytics, AI, or support service providers are used in a way that affects personal data, this policy must be updated as required before public release of those features.
RELIA does not name OpenAI or any other AI provider as active in this policy because the current MVP does not disclose active AI processing.
13. Security
RELIA aims to protect data with reasonable safeguards. Local device security also matters.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. Users should protect their device and any exported files they create.
14. Children and minors
RELIA is not designed as a child safety, school monitoring, or minor monitoring app.
Users should not use RELIA to record minors without an appropriate lawful basis and consent where required.
15. Sensitive use
RELIA should not be used as a substitute for medical, legal, psychological, emergency, or professional advice.
16. Changes to this policy
Effective date: 30 April 2026
This policy may be updated as RELIA changes.
